Jackson should get more passing downs Saturday
By VikingsTickets.com | Posted Tuesday, August 21
Tarvaris Jackson has only thrown the ball 15 times with 10 completions in two preseason games, but Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress insists he isn't worried according to Don Seeholzer of the Pioneer Press. Hopefully, the Vikings coaching staff will get a better chance to see their probably starting quarterback in Saturday night's game at the Seattle Seahawks. The cause for concern stemmed from a very limited role by Jackson in last Friday's matchup with the New York Jets. In that game, the Vikings defense returned two interceptions for touchdowns in the first quarter, and Jackson ended the game with only 2 of 4 passes completed for 12 yards. Childress said he won't force passes out of Jackson on Saturday night by calling more passing plays; he said he will call whatever plays it takes to win.
