Minnesota Vikings - Chicago Bears Game Review
By Vikings Tickets
The Minnesota Vikings, who look like a team that can't get to the off season quickly enough, had a disappointing 40-14 loss against NFC rivals the Chicago Bears on Monday. The Minnesota Vikings, in their first outdoor NFL game in Minnesota since December 21, 1981, played at TCF Bank Stadium due to the ongoing Metrodome repairs. The stadium looked beautiful, the Minnesota Vikings did not.
The Minnesota Vikings reign over the NFC North officially ended as the Bears clinched their 10th victory of the season and the division title on Monday.
Brett Favre, who wound up starting on Monday night after being declared out earlier in the week, opened the game with a touchdown drive. The Vikings came out sharp with a 7-0 lead. Chicago then took control, knocking Favre out of the game and scoring the next 27 points. Joe Webb came in and failed at generating any offensive momentum. The Minnesota Vikings scored 14 points on 14 total possessions. Adrian Peterson sat out the game with residual injuries from last weekend's game.
Also on Monday, the Vikings honored the organization's top 50 players of all-time at halftime to cap a weekend and year of celebration.
