Minnesota Vikings Dallas Cowboys Game Review
By Vikings Tickets
The Minnesota Vikings hosted the Dallas Cowboys at Mall of America Field in what many would call a game of desperation. Both teams went in to the game with records of 1-3 and hopes of turning their season around; the loser of this game would be left planning for their 2011 season.
The Vikings Cowboys showdown was, at one point, viewed as the NFC championship preview, but turned in to a season saver match up. Dallas opened the scoring with their first possession of the game. Tony Romo threw to wide receiver Roy Williams for 15 yards and Minnesota fans sighed around the state. However, Brett Favre tied the score at 7-7 with two seconds left in the first quarter.
Williams caught his second touchdown of the game and the Vikings and Cowboys went to their respective locker rooms, the Cowboys holding a 14-7 halftime lead. The Minnesota Vikings responded with touchdowns early and late in the third quarter to take a 21-14 lead.
Dallas tied the game again with a fourth quarter catch by wide receiver Dez Bryant before Ryan Longwell of the Minnesota Vikings kicked a 38 yard field goal. Longwell's field goal was the determinant in the game as the Vikings won 24-21.
