Minnesota Vikings receivers keep feet in bounds
By Vikings Fan | Posted Thursday, May 29
The Minnesota Vikings wide receivers will have to get used to a new NFL rule next year. The NFL has announced that it is changing the force out rule to read that the receiver must have two feet in bounds in order for the catch to be complete, no exceptions. Before the new rule was passed in April, a wide receiver could be credited with a catch if he was forced out of bounds before having an opportunity to get his feet down, but not anymore!
Vikings receivers Sidney Rice and Bernard Berrian have been conscientiously practicing the new rule during organized team activities. Both receivers know that fancy footwork is now essential in bringing down those passes in the back end zone.
