Vikings beat Cleveland Browns in NFL Season Opener

By Vikings Tickets | Posted Monday, September 14

The Minnesota Vikings leashed the dog pound and beat the Cleveland Browns 34-20 in Cleveland on Sunday for their NFL Season Opener. The Minnesota Vikings defense was the star of the game, but the Vikings offense didn't disappoint either. Running back Adrian Peterson showed why he is the #1 running back in the NFL tallying over 180 yards and making the big plays when his team needed him. Rookie receiver Percy Harvin scored his first NFL touchdown and quickly silenced any doubters of his NFL caliber talent.

Even with all the talent on the Vikings roster, all eyes were on Vikings quarterback Brett Favre who didn't have a stellar numbers game, but did a good job at controlling the ball and leading the offense.

"I had a blast," Brett Favre said. "It wasn't a 400-yard passing game, but it doesn't have to be, as long as we win. That's what it's all about."

And win they did. S'kol Vikings S'kol.
