Vikings fall to Steelers in packed pre-season game
By Vikings Fan | Posted Wednesday, August 27
The Minnesota Vikings lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 10-12 at the Metrodome last Saturday night in the third pre-season game of the year. The Metrodome was packed for a pre-season game. There were Vikings fans dressed in purple and plenty of those loyal (and pesky) Steelers fans.
As most NFL aficionados know, the team starters usually play a fair amount of downs in the third pre-season game of the year, but the Minnesota Vikings weren't taking any chances on further injuries with their star players vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. Most of the Vikings starters including Bernard Berrian, Tarvaris Jackson and Sidney Rice didn't play at all.
Word on the street is that the starters won't see much action during the final pre-season game in Dallas either. Brad Childress wants his team well rested and as healthy as possible for the regular season, which begins on September 8 at Green Bay on Monday Night Football. Hooah!
