Vikings gear up for Packer game
By Vikings Tickets | Posted Friday, November 9
The Minnesota Vikings travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers this Sunday. The Vikings will need to step up the pass defense if they intend to shut down Brett Favre on his home turf. In Week 4 at the Metrodome, the Vikings allowed Favre to go 32 of 45 for 344 yards and two touchdowns, including his record-setting 421st career scoring throw.
"We would like to be more successful this time and as I talked to you about, we have got to be better with our pass rush," Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress said. "It's still going to start with stopping the run for us but the pass rush, coverage, attempting to get after a guy that is pretty good with the ball in his hand as a passer and knows how to get it out of his hand."
Besides shutting down Favre, the Vikings also have to put their own points on the board. It looks like Brooks Bollinger will get the nod at quarterback and using Adrian Peterson for the run and Sidney Rice for the pass will be key to the Vikings success. Good luck at Lambeau, boys! Play the Packers tough!
