By Vikings Tickets Staff Writer: R. Murray

Vikings Lions Game Review 2013:

The Vikings first game of the season was against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. The Vikings started out strong with Adrian Peterson as he ran for a 78-yard TD on his first carry and scored on a 4-yard run to give Minnesota a 14-6 lead in the second quarter. He finished with 93 yards on 18 attempts. Lions pulled ahead with a 34-24 victory.

Vikings Lions Rivalry:

The Lions-Vikings rivalry has been around forever. The Lions and Vikings have been battling since the Vikings entered the league in 1961. Minnesota has dominated the series; however, Detroit has given the Vikings, a usual contender for the NFL playoffs, many close games over the years.
