Vikings lose to Denver, End Season 8-8

By Vikings Tickets | Posted Monday, December 31

The Minnesota Vikings lost to the Denver Broncos last night and ended their season 8-8. The overtime loss, topped off by a Washington Redskins victory over Dallas officially ended any hope for a Vikings playoff game.

The Vikings lost 19-22 after the Denver Broncos kicked a 30 yard field goal in overtime at Mile High Stadium in Denver. The Vikings fought hard overcoming a 19-3 fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime, but Tarvaris Jackson fumbled the ball on the second play of overtime giving the Broncos the game.

"I love the way we fought back in the fourth quarter, but once again turnovers killed us," Vikings linebacker Ben Leber said. "It seems to be our Achilles' heel, and until we get that shored up and figured out, we're not going to be much better of a team next year."

Vikings fans have confidence that changes will be made in the Vikings offseason that will help next seasons Vikings team to be better than 8-8.
