Vikings lose to Redskins

By Minnesota Vikings Fan | Posted Monday, December 24

The Minnesota Vikings lost to the Washington Redskins last night at the HHH Metrodome. The Vikings lost 21 to 32 in front of a sold out Metrodome crowd, many fans were decked out in Santa hats and braved snowy road conditions to see the Vikings team play the final home game of the regular season.  With a win the Vikings could have secured a playoff spot, but the Vikings offense was unable to get it together and the defense couldn't make the big plays Vikings fans have become accustomed to.

The Washington Redskins held Adrian Peterson to 27 yards on nine carries and Chester Taylor finished with a mere 14 yards on six carries. Tarvaris Jackson gave up several turnovers that ultimately gave the Redskins points and momentum to win the game. The Vikings folded under pressure and there is no doubt in this Vikings fans mind that a serious review of the quarterback position and the offense in general is needed. The Vikings travel to Denver to take on the Broncos on Sunday December 30 in the final game of the regualr season.  Let's hope the Vikings playoff ship hasn't already sailed.
