Vikings quarterback controversy continues
By Vikings Football Fan | Posted Thursday, November 8
The Minnesota Vikings are notorious for having quarterback controversies and this year is no exception. "Who will play this weekend, coach?" Has been the classic question from local media mid-week and this week the quarterback situation remains unstable.
Coach Childress said on Wednesday that Tarvaris Jackson willl continue to try and recover from the concussion he suffered last Sunday against the Chargers. The next step in the recovery process, according to Coach Childress, is to get Jackson out on the practice field. Jackson's availability for the rest of the week and for this Sunday against the Packers is up in the air. Coach Childress did confirm that if Jackson was unable to go against Green Bay, Brooks Bollinger would start in his place.
To further complicate the quarterback mayhem, the Vikings signed Koy Detmer. Of course it could've been worse - the Vikings also worked out Chris Weinke. But Detmer is, naturally, "familiar with the system" by virtue of having been with the Eagles. So he's in. This Vikings fan hopes Brooks Bollinger can take Lambeau field by storm!
Let's go Vikings!
